Providence Village - A little on the new elementary school, trails, and more

Updated: Feb 12, 2018

I like looking at this graphic of Providence Village, so I thought I'd post it for everyone. Providence Village is the first of nine villages scheduled to be built in Sterling Ranch.  Yes I said nine! So what you're seeing in the graphic only reflects a fraction of what Sterling Ranch will become in the future.

Good news for you bikers and hikers - Providence Village alone will have 30 miles of trails of various types. A number of these trails will connect to both Chatfield and Roxborough State Parks - so 30 miles is just the beginning. If you haven't visited Roxborough, well, it's a world-class state park that reminds of the famous Red Rocks Park just a few miles north. Chatfield is beautiful as well, and hosts one of the larger publicly-accessible bodies of water in the Denver Metro area (check out the massive dog off-leash area!).

I won't go into all the amenities that will be available in Providence Village in this post, but for you families out there, there will be a K-8 elementary school in Providence Village that will feed into Douglas County Schools. If you visit the community, the elementary school will be located right on Titan Road, so it should be easy for drop-off and pick-up. Currently, Roxborough Elementary is the designated elementary school for Sterling Ranch kids (ThunderRidge High School is the designated high school). The Douglas County School District is one of the best school districts in Colorado, and I suspect the new elementary school will have a lot of the new bells and whistles. ThunderRidge is close, too - about 10 minutes away via car, just East of Santa Fe.

When Sterling Ranch is completely built-out, Douglas County anticipates there will be 5 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school. It will almost be a mini-school district in itself!
