The inside scoop on Lake Family Dental

Matt Lake, DMD, will open Sterling Ranch’s first dental practice this winter

Dr. Lake and his family

As you may have heard, the Sterling Center’s second healthcare tenant – Lake Family Dental – will be opening this winter. The community’s first healthcare provider, UCHealth, opened its new 7,000 square foot facility on September 4th and already feels like a community cornerstone. We here at the Roundup are excited that residents will not only have a first-class medical facility within walking distance of most of the homes in Providence Village, but also a first-class dental provider!

We were so excited about Lake Family Dental’s big Sterling Ranch plans that we had to find out more. Dr. Matt Lake, owner of Lake Family Dental, was kind enough to speak to the Roundup about his practice. So here’s your sneak peek!

If you're curious about Dr. Lake's background, he and his wife and have lived in Arizona, Illinois, and Colorado (coincidentally, so have I!). He always knew that once he started expanding his family he wanted to be in Colorado because it’s such a great place to raise a family. Dr. Lake and his wife have two small children, Owen and Oliver, and a baby girl on the way, and couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Sterling Ranch community. And here’s a fun fact: he has 16 (!) nieces and nephews he loves spending time with. Talk about needing a large kids table for Thanksgiving dinner!

The Lake family celebrates Halloween!

So given Dr. Lake has children of his own, I wanted to know more about his practice and whether he would be providing dental services to children. Good news! “We treat men, women, and children of all ages. We pride ourselves on diversity and welcome everyone to our practice,” Dr. Lake said. Good news indeed for Sterling Ranch families.

What about his practice philosophy? “I believe in providing all of my patients with the “Two T’s,” which are Time and Trust. I will spend as much time as needed with my patients to make sure they clearly understand all treatment options and I am someone they can trust to do what is right for them. I treat my patients like family and look forward to serving the community of Sterling Ranch!”

I also wanted to hear more about his practice itself. Dr. Lake’s facility will be equipped with 5 examination rooms and will accept most major insurances. Dr. Lake will have four other dental professionals to help ensure his patients receive first class, modern, high-quality care. “We will have state of the art technology and keep up-to-date with the most recent scientific research to provide the highest quality of care,” Dr. Lake said.

Lake Family Dental will offer cosmetics, emergency care, cleanings, exams, fillings, extractions, dentures, teeth whitening, and in the future Invisalign and implant services.

Last but not least, I wanted to ask Dr. Lake the question I’ve asked many other folks, and been asked myself – which is what makes Sterling Ranch a special and attractive place for you?

Dr. Lake said his family loves mountain biking, skiing, fly fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors – which, with the Rocky Mountains a hop, skip, and jump down Titan Road, makes Sterling Ranch a perfect location for him and his family. (If you're interested in other outdoor activities close to Sterling Ranch, check out this post on camping in nearby Chatfield State Park, this post on horse riding at Cottonwood Riding Club which is just off Titan Road, and this post on the Colorado Trail trailhead, which is 10 minutes away from the community. So many options!)

And at the end of the day, what was Dr. Lake's favorite part of Sterling Ranch? “I really love the sense of community at Sterling Ranch.”

So there’s your sneak peak. Welcome Lake Family Dental! Be sure to stop by and say hi to Dr. Lake when his practice opens!
