Cottonwood Riding Club

Located just 5 minutes north of Sterling Ranch, the Cottonwood Riding Club offers horse lessons, boarding, and yes, even polo

The greater Sterling Ranch community has a little something for everyone, and for those of you looking for an experience with the noblest creature of all, the horse, well, you need go no further than 5 minutes north of Sterling Ranch to Cottonwood Riding Club.  With a 100-acre facility next to Chatfield State Park, Cottonwood is your one-stop shop for all things equestrian, from lessons to boarding to, yes, even polo!

Before we get to my favorite part (the polo, of course), I want to pause on Cottonwood’s lesson program.  The facility offers training programs seven days a week for English huntseat, jumping, dressage, and eventing.  Children as young as 5 can participate, and the programs cater to everyone from the beginner level to those who are more advanced.  Cottonwood also hosts schooling shows and clinics regularly during the warmer months and Western riding clinics on a weekly basis.

And now, back to the polo!  Cottonwood is the proud home of the Denver Polo Club and offers polo lessons for riders of all levels (no experience necessary).  Also, don't miss the Denver Polo Club's "Celebration of the Horse" polo tournament June 2nd and 3rd, which is conveniently located just south and east of Sterling Ranch. The tournament will feature polo players from around the globe.

You can find Cottonwood from Sterling Ranch by heading west on Titan Road for a half mile. Turn right on Roxborough Park Road. Cottonwood is on your left. To learn more, check out Cottonwood's website!
